Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Repular ("Repular", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you use the Repular app for iPhone and Apple Watch, our website, and the services that support them (collectively, the "Services").
Repular is designed to keep your workout history private. We do not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing.
1. Information we collect
Account and sign-in information
You sign in using Apple or Google. Depending on the information you make available through that provider, we receive your name, email address or private relay address, a provider-specific account identifier, and information about whether the email address was verified. We create a separate Repular account identifier. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
We also retain encrypted provider credentials when needed to revoke the connection during account deletion.
Profile information
You may provide a display name, username, training experience, fitness goals, unit preference, age, sex, height, and other app preferences. Repular asks for age in years and does not require your full date of birth.
Training and body information
We process the information you create in Repular, including routines, exercises, sets, repetitions, weight, duration, distance, rest periods, workout dates, schedules, notes, custom exercises, body measurements, progress records, and settings. We also process derived values, such as training volume, estimated records, and progress trends.
This information is stored on your device and synced to our servers to keep it consistent across your devices. Your Repular training records are not public unless you intentionally export or share them.
Apple Health information
Apple Health features are optional and require separate permission. Based on the features you enable, Repular may:
- read your latest body-weight sample and add it to your Repular measurements;
- read heart rate, active energy, and basal energy during a workout;
- retain minimum, average, and maximum heart rate and the active-energy total for a completed workout; and
- write completed strength-training workouts to Apple Health.
Live heart-rate samples are used to show workout metrics. Repular retains only the completed-workout summary values described above, not the full heart-rate sample series. An imported Apple Health body-weight value becomes part of your Repular measurement history. These retained summary values and imported measurements sync to our servers like other training information.
We do not send Apple Health information to Mixpanel or RevenueCat. We do not use it for advertising, marketing, profiling for unrelated purposes, or data brokerage. Our hosting providers process the synced information to run the Services.
Purchases and subscription status
Apple processes App Store purchases. RevenueCat helps us present purchase options and verify whether Repular Pro is active. After sign-in, we provide RevenueCat with your Repular account identifier, email address or private relay address, profile name, sign-in provider, and app language to associate purchases with the correct account and support subscription issues. We receive product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase environment, and relevant purchase or expiration dates. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Usage analytics
When analytics are configured for a Repular build, usage analytics are enabled by default and Mixpanel processes product-usage and technical events. Before sign-in, those events use a random installation identifier. After sign-in, they may be linked to your Repular account identifier.
Mixpanel records app opens and UI interactions, such as opening a feature, using an editor, viewing a paywall, or tapping purchase and restore buttons. Events contain fixed feature and action labels, together with basic technical context such as app version, operating environment, and device and operating-system information. We do not send workout contents or statistics, exercise or routine details or counts, fitness goals, body measurements, Apple Health data, profile preferences, names, email addresses, free-text notes, error messages, or purchase and subscription details to Mixpanel.
Device, network, and diagnostic information
We process a randomly generated device identifier and installation identifier, platform, app version, operating-system version, session and sync identifiers, request identifiers, request timing, and IP address. If you allow notifications, we also process an Apple Push Notification service token. This information supports sign-in, sync, notifications, security, fraud prevention, rate limiting, debugging, and service reliability.
Support communications
When you send a message in the app, it goes directly to Repular and is stored with your account. Your verified account email is used for replies. Every submission includes basic details: app version and build, operating environment, device model, operating-system version, language, locale, time zone, submission time, and the screen it came from.
Bug reports can also include a diagnostic snapshot of sync and local-storage status, recent error codes, and request identifiers. The diagnostics switch starts on and can be turned off before sending; basic details are still included. If you email us separately, we receive your email and any attachments you choose to send.
Website information
Our current website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Like most hosted websites, its infrastructure may process IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser information, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.
2. How we use information
We use information to run your account; provide workout, sync, Apple Watch, Apple Health, export, and notification features; manage paid access; answer support requests; and understand and fix problems. We also use it to protect the Services from abuse and meet legal obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the purpose determines the basis: providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving it, consent where required for optional processing, or a legal obligation. Apple Health access and notifications are controlled through your device permissions.
3. Who receives information
- Apple and Google: sign-in; Apple also provides App Store payments, Health, Watch connectivity, and push notifications.
- RevenueCat: purchase options and subscription status.
- Mixpanel: the usage analytics described above.
- Hosting and support providers: infrastructure, databases, website delivery, and email, including Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Legal recipients: authorities or advisers where needed to meet a legal obligation or deal with fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.
Provider policies: Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, and AWS.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, show third-party ads, or use advertising identifiers to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
4. Storage and security
Repular stores data on your device and syncs account data to our servers. We use authentication, access controls, and encrypted connections to help protect it. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
We operate from Azerbaijan. Our providers may process information in other countries, which can have different data-protection laws. Processing locations depend on the provider and service configuration.
5. Retention and account deletion
We keep account, profile, and training information to provide the Services while your account is active. Records of deleted items can remain in sync storage so that deletions reach your other devices.
When you confirm Delete Account in the app, access ends immediately. Signing in with the same provider during the following seven days restores the account and cancels deletion. After that period, deletion of Repular account and training data begins. Temporary service or provider failures can delay completion while the operation is retried. A de-identified record of the deletion job may remain.
Backups and operational records have separate lifetimes. Backup retention depends on recovery needs and backup settings. Support messages and security logs may be kept to handle requests, investigate problems, or meet legal obligations. Analytics retention depends on the provider's settings and our use of that information to understand app usage.
Account deletion does not immediately erase every backup or record held by a provider. It does not remove Apple Health records, cancel an App Store subscription, erase Apple's purchase records, or delete exported or shared files. See the account deletion instructions for the practical steps and limits.
6. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and training information in the app.
- Use Settings > Import & Export to export a JSON archive of your profile, routines, schedule, workouts, measurements, and custom exercises. This is an app-data archive; it does not include support messages, server logs, or provider records.
- Change notifications and Apple Health access in the relevant app or Apple system settings. Turning off Health access stops future access; it does not delete values already imported into Repular.
- Request account deletion in Settings > Profile > Delete Account.
Depending on local law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; appeal a response; or complain to a data-protection authority. For requests not covered by the app, contact support@repular.app. We may need to verify your identity or an agent's authority before acting.
7. Children
You must be at least 9 to use Repular. Where local law requires a higher age or parental permission, those requirements also apply. If you believe a child has provided information without the required permission, contact us about its removal.
8. Policy changes
We may update this policy as Repular changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Additional notice or consent will be provided when required by law.
